Section 1- Author's Craft

Great definition to pin up in the classroom to help teach craft, as we learned in our readings in Ray's text.
Just as a woodworker uses many tools and techniques to craft a piece of
furniture, a skilled author uses tools and techniques of language and storytelling
to craft a piece of writing.

Directions: Respond to the follow questions in paragraph form- in any order!
  • Write a few paragraphs- you can answer the questions in any order as long as your ideas flow smoothly. Combine questions that you think are similar in paragraphs
  • Be creative! This is a creative blog. I should hear your voice and see visuals (pictures, videos, links) throughout your blog to help illustrate and explain what you are writing.
  • Do not answer the questions by numbering your responses. (For example, 1.  2. 3. 4.)
